Tequila Tasting

Tequila is Mexico’s claim to fame and is extracted from the agave plant. It must be blue agave to be real tequila. When we adventure out to Mismaloya, waiting for us will be Mama Lucia’s distillery. There you have the chance to see where the agave plants are grown, learn how they are processed and distilled (the old fashioned way in wood barrels). Most important and fun of all……. are tasting all the different types and flavors of tequila. Such as chocolate, peach, pine-apple, cherry, coconut, coffee and many more! After the “lick, salt, tequila, lime” events, we will stop for a great lunch and marvel at the jungle scenery and the tequila souvenirs we will be taking home.
